Panama City, Panama, living in Panama, life in Utopia, blue skies, tropical weather, humidity, heat, sweltering hot

Panama is a great place to live: except for when it’s not. Like anywhere else in the world, there are many positive things about living in Panama, but it certainly has its share of cons!

beth-gray01So, this is my personal blog about what I think is the good, the bad and the ugly about life in Panama. And in this blog I am not pulling punches or trying to be politically correct. It may offend some people. My writing style, in particular, may offend some: especially when I choose to write about #altnews and #altfacts and include my opinions regarding an #altreality that I would love to see here in Panama.

They say truth is stranger than fiction, so many of the things written on this page are “what would Panama be like if such-and-such a person had simply chosen to act differently?” – with links to the newspaper articles, names, dates and possibilities.

What if Panama had 0% corruption, no inflated government contracts and politicians were actually elected for their capacity and ability to get the job done? What if public sector officials actually did their work with heart and soul? What if private citizens and companies practiced social responsibility? What if neighbours worked together to build better neighbourhoods and participated actively in local government? What if churches fed the poor and provided social and emotional healing to their communities?

What would PanUtopia be like to live in?
